about

This was written after Ronan's first visit to a project site, at Parque Nacional La Cangreja, and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the beauty of Costa Rica, which was very different from the beauty of offices in Birmingham

lyrics

Verse 1:
Through my own eyes I see the world
Through my own eyes I see things I never dreamed of
Hard working days and sleepless nights
I see it all through my own eyes

Chorus:
I left it all behind to see things through my own eyes
Not on TV or online
Never seen things like that, don't know if I can go back
Now I've seen through my own eyes

Verse 2:
Through my own eyes I'm not alone
Through my own eyes I see the mountains and winding roads
Hard-working days are flying by
I see it all through my own eyes
